# Makevellum

> A publishing web app where makers share projects and guides, with a membership model for deeper reading and downloads.

- Year: 2026
- Role: Design & development
- Stack: Django, PostgreSQL, JavaScript
- Built by: Crashielab (https://crashielab.com/)

## The brief

A self-initiated web app for people who make things and document the process. The idea is simple: publishing is free, while a reading membership unlocks more guides and files.

## What I did

- Built project, guide and file pages, with drafts and a staff review step before publication
- Added membership access to advanced guides, member files and project downloads, plus reading without adverts
- Gave readers search, saved items and a way to follow makers

## The result

A self-initiated publishing app that brings project documentation, discovery and membership access together. Makers can organise a build into its object, process, details and files, while drafts and staff review provide a path from writing to publication.

The screenshots show the local demonstration with example content and pricing. Checkout is simulated, with no live members or payments; the app has not launched publicly.
